15 more Ann Arbor strip mall restaurants with great food

Jessica Webster | MLive.com October 11, 2016 Last month, we shared some of our favorite restaurants located in Ann Arbor strip malls. The reaction from readers was enthusiastic. Many of you chimed in with yourfavorite destinations, and reminded us of some we had missed. So we went back to the drawing board. I drove around the city and tried some food you recommended. I have to say - the suggestions were spot on! Here are some of the best of the ones we missed the first time.

Star's Cafe

Among the people whose opinions I sought for this strip mall restaurant follow-up were some successful Ann Arbor chefs. Star's Cafe came up multiple times. There is some strong affection for this unpretentious menu of Middle Eastern classics, and the hummus is supposed to be some of the best in town.

Bewon Korean Cuisine

"I think Bewon was missed. I had passed it by for a while, but finally went in and discovered the best Dolsot Bibimbap in Ann Arbor." I'm inclined to agree. I also loved the restaurant's triple bulgogi, with three types of marinated and grilled meats.
